Onyetts Field Nature Survey!

Date: Wednesday 28th May
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Onyetts Field, Warboys

The Friends of Onyetts Field, in partnership with the Warboys Climate & Environment Group, are hosting a Nature Survey today – and everyone’s welcome to join in!

This exciting community event invites residents of all ages to become wildlife explorers, helping to spot and identify both rare and common species for research using the free iNaturalist app. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or simply curious about the nature on your doorstep, it’s a great way to get involved, learn something new, and support local biodiversity efforts.

🐞 What to Expect:

  • Hands-on wildlife spotting across Onyetts Field
  • Use of the iNaturalist app to record and identify species
  • A family-friendly atmosphere – accompanied young children are very welcome
  • Bring a picnic and make a day of it!

📱 How to Take Part:

To participate, simply download the iNaturalist app ahead of time from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR codes in the poster if you have them handy.

Once installed, you’ll be able to log the species you encounter during the survey and contribute to a global database of wildlife sightings.

This event is part of our ongoing efforts to engage the community in caring for and learning about our natural spaces.
