🌟 Have Your Say on the Future of Local Government in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough 🌟

Last modified date

We want to hear from you!

From today, local councils across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough have launched a public engagement exercise to gather your views on how local government should be shaped in the future.

πŸ“’ In December 2024, the Government announced plans to move away from the current two-tier system (district/city and county councils) and towards single-tier unitary authorities. (Town and parish councils, like ours, will not be affected.)

Since then, all seven existing councils in Cambridgeshire have been working together to explore what this could look like. Now it’s time for residents like you to have your say.

πŸ“ Take the survey and tell us:

  • What local services matter most to you?
  • What would you like to see delivered by a new unitary council?
  • Where do you go to work, access health services, or socialise?

Your input will help shape the proposals before they are submitted to Government in November 2025.

πŸ—“οΈ The survey closes at midnight on 20th July 2025
πŸ“ Paper copies are also available at Pathfinder House, Huntingdon
πŸ”— Complete the survey here

We encourage all residents, community groups, and local businesses to take part and help shape the future of local government in our region.

Thank you for your support!
